So Friday, I was off work early - Jane, Alexa, Will and I went to lunch...and then were hanging out.  My phone rang - Nick was like 'I'm painting my ManCave today...turning it into a game room.  Will you help?'.  I was like um ok maybe.  Then Nick was all.......PUHHHHHHHHLEEEEEEEEASEEEEEEEEE

so we picked up Austin from school - threw on some paint clothes and headed to Nick's house.  We headed to Menards to get the MANY gallons of paint and went to work.  Here is the before product:

So Nick and I were painting and OBVIOUSLY it looked like a TON of fun....so Will and Austin decided that they wanted to help out....

Later on, Kenny and Ang stopped by to help out also.....

I was OBVIOUSLY confused by something going on with this wall.....

but the work progressed.........

Are you confused yet ??  So he wanted a game room.....and couldn't decide the decor....so we came up with 2 rooms being torn apart.......

The room isn't done yet.....it still needs the molding and base boards....and um paint removed from the carpet and ceiling........But after all the hard work of Friday night and Saturday - I had to get some pictures up of this AWESOME room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'll get more pictures after everything is complete.

So what happens in St. Charles (St. Louis ....St. Charles....same thing....) gets blogged about.  We had a great time on our annual Girls Trip!!

We are anxious for next year in the Ozarks (Are you reading this Jennie?)!!  We took very good care of ourselves

Made some friends

We shopped, ate, drank, laughed......

and even had a little run in with the Po-Po

(Ok ....so WE didn't really have a run in with the Police...THANK GOODNESS!  But that is my van in the pic RIGHT NEXT to ONE of the Chevy's that was broken into....apparently MANY of the Chevy's in the hotel parking lot were broken into that night...We were surpised that they didn't hit us since the van was loaded with Christmas presents.....including a sled (Oh shit....I hope Anna and Emma are not reading this.........)

What Happens in St Louis....

What Happens in St Louis stays in St Louis ends up on my blog.  Saturday is our annual Girls Shopping Trip which since NONE OF US ARE PREGO THIS TIME, we've decided to drink alot and have to stay in a hotel in order not to drive do an overnight trip!  Sara and I are leaving tomorrow morning for St Louis while Jennie will be leaving Springfield tomorrow morning to meet us.  We are TOTALLY excited!  Last year we had a blast!!!  This year promises to be even better!  We've had much discussion as to what are you bringing, what are we doing, who is sleeping with who, etc....  We've decided that we are OFFICIALLY old....because in the PAST when it came time for a Girls Weekend....we would ...in Sara's words break out the black bar pants.....But instead we've all said jeans and a cardigan....I mean how much more 'mom' can you get....I assure you...they will not be 'mom' jeans and a cardigan.... But we've decided that we no longer have MilkShakes that bring all the boys to the yard

But instead have Ensure Jugs....and the boys aren't coming to the yard because we will be in our comfy shoes and cardigans....probably talking about our kids and husbands like we TRIED so hard NOT to do last year....but everything involves our kids and husbands so that's really hard to spend a day/night not talking about them.  Regardless, it promises to be a WONDERFUL day full of shopping, friends, drinks, food, fun, drinks, cardigans, etc......Stay Tuned.........................

Flock Flach...What's the Difference

So Austin had a phonics test/project thing today.  Talk about tricky words..........I mean Hello?!?!  His last name is Flach (pronounced flock) so when asked to spell the word flock.....How else do you expect him to spell it?  F-L-A-C-H and this is considered wrong..........Geesh.  Isn't it ironic....Don't you think....It's like rain on your wedding day  It's a free ride when you've already paid It's the good advice that you just didn't take Who would've thought ... it figures
By the way....I was totally singing that as I was typing that.

 A FREAKED OUT DAD AND A TRIP TO THE DR'S OFFICE

Ok...so to back track....Tony took the day off today to get some things done around the yard, etc....He dropped off Austin and Will at school.  Before 9:00, he had a call from Austin's school - Austin puked and had a headache - So he picked up Austin.  Preschool is over around 11:00 so he picked up Will around 11:00.  Austin was content watching T.V. and Will was content playing in his playroom so Tony was in the backyard - cleaning somethings up a bit.  This is where Will became curious....which is wierd to me...Because we've never experienced anything like this with either of the boys...I know that some kids stick things in their ears/noses/etc....But we've never experienced that....so I didn't think we would at THIS POINT.  Anywhoooo...The way Will told me the story....He was trying to talk to Austin and Austin didn't want to listen to his story....so he went to the bathroom and took the above bead that he found at Preschool and shoved it up his nose.  When he realized that it wasn't coming back out, he freaked and screamed....Austin came running into the bathroom and Will told him what happened.  Austin ran outside to tell Tony ' Will has something stuck in his nose '  So Tony rushed in...only to find Will in a CONSTANT scream...the bead was so far up his nose that Tony couldn't see it.  Back track AGAIN....I was at work when I got kicked off of my MSN Messenger twice because someone logged into the computer at home.  I assumed it was Tony so I had texted him to log in as himself so I could work........Fast forward - I'm at work sitting in a meeting w/ my laptop...and I get kicked out of messenger again....2 minutes later....Tony calls my cell which I ignore because I'm like totally important and was in a meeting ...duh......So I checked my voicemail because ok it wasn't really that important of a meeting.....and amongst some loud background noise the message states 'Hey it's me....We are headed to the Dr right now....Call me as soon as you get this'...Austin was sick so I freaked a bit...wondering if he was vomiting blood or what the hell had happened?!?!  So I called Tony right back...only to hear....' Will has a bead shoved up his nose ...ok....like REALLY up his nose...it's like in his head.....so we are on our way to the Dr because I can't get it out and he won't stop screaming. '  Sooooooooo my reaction 'WHAT?!?!? Where the hell did he get a bead from?'....Tony ' I dont' know it's yellow.... ' ...... Me 'Um ok....I don't know where the hell he got a YELLOW bead from....'.  So Tony assured me that he could handle this on his own.  Fast Forward....Grandma Karen was able to use some tool at the Drs to pull the YELLOW bead out of his nose.....Will is fine - only has a tiny bruise on his nose....and he KNOWS not to put ANYTHING up his nose.  Interesting day...........

Trick or Treat

Saturday night, we had the 2nd annual Niebrugge Halloween Party.  As always, we had a GREAT time!  We had food, drinks, family, friends, what more can you ask for.......We had a campfire and a haunted hayride.  Early into the night, I took a few pictures - ENJOY!!!

Fr. Austin....NOPE

Austin is studying his 10 Commandments as he has his First Reconcilation this year.  Each student has to recite the 10 Commandments and the Act of Contrition to the teacher before Dec 4th.  So we have been practicing....sad to say that I honestly did not remember either.  BUT in my defense - they've changed - Not like in content....but the wording.  Anywhoooo....So we have the Act of Contrition down - He's recited this correctly to his teacher.  So we've been working on the 10 Commandments.  So the other night he was telling me the commandments to which he recited #6 Austin style You shall not ADMIT adultery.  Obviously, I corrected him on his word slip-up.  But it is funny.....
